Great post!
I wouldn't recommend the Vortex Viper for a carry handgun, as the activation of this reflex sight does require the user to push on the side button. It's highly impractical in any critical situation. With that being said, I would highly recommend the new Sig Sauer Romeo 1 reflex sight to any friends here who plan on carry a defensive handgun with a reflex sight on top of the slide. This Sig Romeo 1 has the latest design and circuitry system, allowing Motion sensing auto turn-on function, which is an absolutely must-have function for any defensive handgun. In the meantime, this new sight will auto shut-off in 15 minutes given no movement or change in momentum. Together, the motion sensing capability of this design extends the battery life over 30,000 hours. It also uses a top-loading design for battery replacement, which allows the end users to replace battery without having to re-zero the gun.
Last but not least, the Sig Romeo 1 has a much larger lens with much less color distortion/tint compared to the popular Trijicon RMR or Vortex Viper. The green tint on the Trijicon RMR can be annoying for some users, as the color distortion will prevent target acquisition in certain context, such as having a green background.
Anyway, I would highly recommend people to look into the Sig Romeo 1 handgun reflex sight! |
