Gun Free Zone - 后备箱里的子弹（没有枪）不算 firearm/weapon 吧？

想到这么个问题，看到提 gun free zone 的地方都是说 firearm 或 weapon 或 gun。只有子弹的情况下应该不算是 firearm 或 weapon 或 gun。想跟各位老枪确认一下。我也会继续查资料确认。

就是怕自己去买了子弹，放在车里，没有枪，不小心去了学校接送孩子什么的。不是为了挑战底线，只是为了预防万一。

The term weapon refers in the Gun-Free Schools Act to a firearm and is defined by federal law
(Section 921 of Title 18 of the U.S. Code) as “…(A) any weapon (including a starter gun) which
will or is designed to or may readily be converted to expel a projectile by the action of an
explosive; (B) the frame or receiver of any such weapon; (C) any firearm muffler or firearm
silencer, of (D) any destructive device. Such term does not include an antique firearm.” This
definition, it must be noted, also does not include knives. However, schools may enact broader
policies if they desire.

Try to call your local police dept or ATF is better I guess.
It should be okay in my state, but yours might be different story. Our state law even allow school employees to keep firearm in a locked compartment in vehicle while parking at school parking lot.

这个得看各个州自己的法律了。

我觉得大学是另一回事，gun-free zone是绝对不能有任何武器的，应该包括子弹，法律可能是一回事，但学校管理是另一回事
