Here's the bottomline. I had the 3.5L 2012 EB for 2-years and 40,000 miles and 2/3 of that towing. The 3.5L TT is a MONSTER motor. The pulling power was amazing - especially considering the displacement. So, go back to this video and imagine that the comparison was made between the ED and the 3.5L EB. The GAP would be a whole lot bigger!!!!!! So, what's the point? I now have the ED..... and I am here to tell you thatthe ED is a MUCH better truck in 90% of all areas of comparison. Is the EB better in a drag race or pulling a load up a long hill at a faster speed - ABSOLUTELY. BUT, the ED is much more than merely adequate in these tests. In virtually all other areas - everyday driveability, comfort, now-towing mpg, towing mpg, etc, etc. - the ED is a far better truck. This video to me is paramount to saying look, our truck is a better color....... therefore it is a better truck. Nope. I miss the EB 1.7432% of the time. The remaining 98.2568%, I highly prefer driving/owning the ED. |
