AT SHORT RANGES:
As a general rule lighter bullets/faster loads will shoot lower and heavier bullets/slower loads will shoot higher with pistols. Reason is due to barrel time and recoil (upward movement) of pistol. Heavier/slower bullets tend to have longer time in barrel than lighter/faster loads and this allows the pistol barrel to move upward slightly more, causing the heavier bullets to exit when the barrel is pointing higher and thus hit higher on the target.
AT LONGER RANGES (~100 yds or more):
Higher velocity/less drop overcomes the recoil effect and higher velocity loads will drop less/hit higher on target than slower loads.
