Tough question for me to answer. I have both. I just got my .25 Condor SS last week. Shot a little but not had time to shoot a lot. I have two .25 cal MRods also. Both have had some power work to bring them up a bit. I may be a bad one to ask though, I like ALL airguns. I personally feel every one has it's place. And it just depends on the person and what purpose they intend the airgun for. Me, I hunt sometimes but mostly just like shooting. And I like power also.
My MRods are putting out around 50-57fpe VERY accurately. I have them zeroed at 50 yards. I have one outfitted with a customized synthetic thumbhole stock and the other with a Boyd's Blaster stock by Norm of DiscosRus. The MRod is nice with about 24 shots in the power zone and having a repeater does come in handy or makes me feel better when taking a shot. I know I have a follow-up shot rather quickly if needed. The MRod is VERY back yard friendly also.
The Condor SS has a lot of pluses on it's side. The light weight is nice. The adjustable power is great to have. You can dial it down for more shots at targets or dial it up for that long range kill shot. It's a VERY well made airgun and solid. It is deadly accurate. I have mine zereod at 65 yards and just took out a Starling at 70 yards a couple of days ago. And the high tech look is awesome too. My only complaints are getting the proper scope eye relief and that it's a single shot. But for my purposes, one shot one kill with this gun actually makes you MORE confident.
There are accessories and aftermarket goodies for both platforms. And speaking of platforms, the Condor SS has another plus. You can buy barrels and make a simple swap from .20-.22-.25 caliber. Sorry but you can't include the .177 in the swap. The Condor SS was not as quiet as I expected from the new Sound-Loc system. The MRod is most definitely quieter. The Condor SS is okay at low power as far as noise. It does get louder as you crank up the power level. I may experiment with ways to improve this when I get the time. I'm getting happier as I get more trigger time with the SS. It is unlike any airgun I've owned or shot.
