昨天收到回信,如下:(这种情况不知有没有人遇到,是不是说有个人名字和我相似导致我被拒了,那接下去我要怎样啊?求解!) Thisletter is in response to your appeal of the results of your firearm backgroundcheck. you have been matched with a prohibiting record which contains a similarname and/or similar descriptive features. your transation's prohibition isunder Title 18,United states code,Section 922(g) (5) (A):A person who,being analien is illegally or unlawfully in the United states. If you are the subject of the prohhibiting recordlisted below and whish to challenge the accuracy ofthe record,you should contact the agency holding the record for furtherinformation. If the agency has documentation which would show the record wasinaccurate or that the prohibition was nullified,the agency holding the recordshould submit notification of the correction directly to the Appeal servicesTeam (AST) of the FBI Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Division’sNICS Section via facsimile at (304)625-0535. Your NTN must be provided with theagency’s notification. The agency should take the necessary steps to update therecord to prevent future denials. If theprohibiting information was correct at the time your NICS background check wasconducted,but has since been resolved,your deny status will not change. Thedenial would be considered valid at the time of the check. If you are certainthe prohibiting record has been removed or updated by the submitting agency ,you are not prohibited from subsequent attempts to possess or receive afirearm. If you do not believe you are the same person as thesubject of the prohibiting record, you may contactthe agency listed below. Please be advised that descriptive information can belimited based on varying factors such as system limitations, availabledescriptive information, and state laws minimizing the amount of descriptivedata allowable for entry. If additional descriptors can be added to the recordby the agency or the agency is able to provide more descriptive information toAST to support your identity challenge,they should notify the AST via facsimileat 304-625-0535. No furtheraction will be taken untill documentation is provided by the contributingagency or you notify the AST that the record has been updated. Please ensureall correspondence/submissions contain your NTN. Failure to do so will onlydelay your appeal.
