He seems more or less a maverick to me, never really mainstream. But I have to give him credit - it's usually harder to collect the thoughts and present the best arguments during a live debate.

yeah，still our friend. He is strong on gun right and affirmative action, he think harvard's policy is racism toward asian american. Not sure he will say the same once he is in power but, he has my support.

I agree with what you said and I agree with most of the things he says. He's a conversative, no doubt about that. However, it's his stance on the single most important issue (him being a never-Trumper) that tells me that there's something I didn't know about him. If we don't get president Trump, we won't be able to make any progress with all other issues. In fact, w/o President Trump, we'll be losing ground on all those issues. His personal taste is so strong that it blinded him. I can't trust someone who's so easily blinded by his own ego.

you are right, I do observe that he has a big ego. I think he probably want to a politician, maybe he is paving the way for future campaign for senator, governor, or even president, and ego might be important for him,

他显然有政治野心。不过无所谓，he is still an inportant ally. 他在让大学生们听到另外一种声音上贡献很大。

至于大法官就不用想了。川普已经说了会从当年竞选时候公布的那个25人名单里挑。已经面试了四人，大概还会面试2到3人。下周一宣布人选。

看了下，这是他家社论，如果说h post算是极左的，nytimes算是left的主流，主流如此，估计far left 已成left的主流。

极左的鼻祖是谁？来自大陆的华人都不陌生。对，就是那位马大胡子。记得他说人类最优秀的人是无产阶级？提倡的实现人类大同的#唯一#途径？对，就是暴力革命。上个世纪共产主义革命运动虽然失败了，但是这个思想阴魂不散，一直被极左主义以某种形式继承下来了。你要是理解了这一点，美国现在的各种政治怪象都迎刃而解了。

这篇文章暗指的是美国内战。反枪的号召暴力革命 ...... 略可爱。
不过要小心少数真疯的拿这个当行动纲领。
