反驳枪和战争的类比

今天看到一张反枪派的宣传：

我这个反驳肯定不是够有力的。放在这里。抛砖引玉。

我的反驳：

按老中的说法，杀人偿命。既然有138万死了。那么自然有～138万的凶手。

从1968年以来有多少被执行了死刑呢？

我没找到从1968~1975这八年的数据。但是从1976年到现在（4/24/2014），Total Executions Since 1976： 1378

以德报怨，何以报德？
以直报怨，以德报德。

可以把gun替换成很多东西：car，火，水，rope，酒精，烟草，medicine。。。。

枪避免了多少死亡呢？在我们不知道的时候，枪避免了多少政府权力滥用而可能导致的战争/饥荒/政策制定失误？

1. 按照统计的常识，集合“Killed with a gun”和集合“American war deaths”不是相互独立的事件，“American war deaths”可以导致“Killed with a gun”，比如战后的心理创伤导致自杀、战后无法融入社会而仇视社会...等等

2. Killed with a gun 不等于 Killed by a gun，也就更加不等于 Guns kill more Americans。Gun本身只是个物品、不会kill people。假设按照这个宣传的逻辑，还可以说毒贩和走私者kill more people。毒贩和走私者用枪kill people不是枪造成的，而是人造成的。

3. 如果Gun Control Act of 1968没有收效呢？“1968年之前所有Killed with a gun的人数”是多少呢？暂且不考虑比较的合理性，单纯比数值，有没有可能“1968年之前所有Killed with a gun的人数”比“1968年之前war deaths”要少？

接下来还可以找这个宣传的数据来源。

题外话，不论什么战争，加上交战双方的死亡人数（包含平民）呢？难道交战另外一方的人（包含平民）不算做和美国人相同的人？
