Police say to watch out for suspicious people who are kicking in back doors when they find nobody home. It’s happening on the east side of Pueblo.
A 14-year-old was home alone Wednesday when he reportedly heard someone in his house. The teen later told police he grabbed a handgun and fired at the intruder. He thought he may have hit him.
Responding officers found the back door kicked in and power to the house cut off. They did not find any blood at the house and have not found any gunshot wound cases at the Pueblo hospitals.
The incident happened on the 700 block of E. 2nd St. The teen says he saw one black man and two possibly Hispanic men. No further suspect descriptions are available.
