ATF offers $10,000 reward for armed and dangerous fugitive
Special Agent-in-Charge, Phillip Durham, said John Ross Harold, 30, is a convicted felon wanted for stealing a firearm from a licensed dealer, receiving stolen firearms, felon in possession of firearms, home invasion and attempted murder.
Durham said Harold was part of police pursuit on Feb. 27, 2014 that led officers to 25 firearms that had been stolen from Cooks Gun Shop in D'Iberville that same night. The man who was driving the car that night, Kevin Parfait, was taken into custody by police. Harold was taken to a hospital in Jackson where he was treated for multiple injuries, but was then released before a warrant for his arrest could be secured.
Durham said Harold turned up again on April 1, this time in Terrebonne Parish, LA. According to authorities, that night Harold broke into a house and shot a resident in the head.
"Mr. Harold and his co-conspirator orchestrated a robbery that ended with an innocent citizen being shot. Their greed-motivated, reckless behavior led to another person being injured," said Durham.
Officials believe Harold to be armed and dangerous in the Houma, LA area.
If you have any information regarding the whereabouts of Harold, you are asked to contact the ATF at 1-800-283-4867 or the U.S. Marshals Service at 202-307-9100.
