Just ask your outfitter, how many total hunters and how many total harvest. Maine has a good bear population. And some outfitters boast 90% success rate. The hard work is done. Just relax and sit still.
Alaska is pretty much spot and stalk hunting on remote location accessible by private plane. Some luxury outing may coast around the shore in a boat, and then spot and stalk. Cost is probably between $10K to $20K depending on drop camp or full 1 on 1 guide.
i was in Maine, New Hempshire and Vermont driving for two weeks with wife vacationing few years ago. saw several hunting post and talked with few. in Maine, close to north and north east near Canada border has larger black. center Maine has smaller one. all baited operation. good spot for blackies.
wife has been angry at me since last year due to i hunt too much. i was allowed to hunt duck, geese, phesant, dove, but no more deer, hog,.. since last year. no game meat in house anymore. she is in her 更年期 so i am not going to fight but told her i am going to have my own "vacation". i have to turn down several free hunting last year.
