看到朋友Commons手册说枪是触犯法律的

DP对这个标题里的“Commons”是怎么看的？Commons这个词的意思似乎仅仅是公共场合。不应该包含自己的宿舍。

land or resources belonging to or affecting the whole of a community.

不是大学里的学生宿舍，就是个专门租给学生的校外公寓楼，名字叫 The Commons，所以他们有权禁枪禁刀禁猫禁狗。
这些条款对坏人 P 用没有，就是个 CYA 而已。不爽就不租他们的房子。

楼主说的是学校宿舍，大多数州不让学校财产拥枪，就不讨论了。
对于私人财产的apartment complex，有些州是有法律规定不能 firearm discrimination的，不能以枪为原因拒绝租房或者驱赶租客。
