Did you take any courses from aliastraining? Are all classes open to civilians? I can't take more days off work this year. But would be interested in more training next year. Would be nice to meet some people from this forum.

from colt or PSA?
But either way, would you say most ARs in the course ran smoothly?
From colt le6920. Winchester 55gr ammo. Probably ammo issue. overall both guns ran smoothly. PSA rail guard is too hot for my barehand. But I loved aimpoint pro. Most guys either have eotech or aimpoint. The xps2 is really good size with 123 battery. AA battery version is too long and bulky for my taste. I find eotech reticle with 65moa circle is not bad. it helps a little with focusing. I was afraid it might be too busy. For real close combat you index your support hand finger or thumb anyway.
Most malfunction issues are related to not seated and tucked mag. so after fire the round in chamber, the mag drops. And then you have to transit to your pistol or clear the malfunction. This us operator error. I didn't have this issue. Other problems are related to too dry bolt assembly. I guess that's why ak probably is better choice for shtf situation.

Hmm so keep a small vial of clp or slip 2000 in the gun would be a great idea?
I remember changeisgood mentioned the property of aluminum is that it tends to get " sticky" with metal.. Ak is steel on steel so less lube is required.
But anyhow, AR is hardly the worthless piece of shit toy gun some of us firmly believed.
