Nein, nein, rifle caliber pistols has huge muzzle flash and muzzle blast, poor terminal ballistics and harder handling, i'd leave those to the more experienced shooters. Your average rifle rounds are optimized for 16-20" barrels while pistols sport a 7.5". You need to get the expensive SBR ammo with otm bullet and flash suppressant additives or what not to make it marginally effective, but at 100 yard it is still a shitty pea shooter.. A small caliber rifle bullet that doesn't rotate and fragment is not much better than a .22lr.
If it's rifle caliber, I'd take a carbine over pistol on any day, because ammo with good availability such as M855, coming out of a 7.5" is really piss poor performance. |
