Scout more tracks and put more game cams around the tracks. When deer in rut their patterns change too. Bucks would go search for does. So they don't follow routine that regularly. As matter of fact buck loose a large percentage of their body weight during rut because they don't eat.
Use doe scent attractant is a good idea.
Late winter is also good opportunities. Focus on food source in late winter.
