It's only a sentence long; 27 words that barely take up a full line on the Bill of Rights.

A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

And yet, for years, those 27 brief words have been the source of contentious debate -- seen by some as an inalienable protection against tyranny; by others as a dangerous anachronism.

"A well regulated police force, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed".

This sentence is not even grammatically correct. What would be the verb for the police force?  Every one knows that police force carry weapons, why would founders write in the consituation that "police force shoud have weapons", how stupid is this?

The "people" in the constitution always refers to the individuals. The whole bill of rights is about protection of individual rights. The right of free speech is an individual right, why would the right of carrying weapons be an exception?

A modern translation of 2A should read like this:

Because a well equipped and trained militia, which consists of all the able-bodied citizens, is necessary for the security of a free nation, the right of the ordinary people to keep and carry weapons, shall not be infringed.

This is not complicated.
