huh? Not really. You let your rear aperture covers the the ring outline of the front sight. Then each pin corresponds to a given distance zero. The key is that the aperture outline overlaps exactly the outline of front sight ring, (the ring where all sight pins are anchored on).
I have it set to 20,30, 40 yd. If you have 5 pins, add 50 and 60yd. I also use a ballistic calculator and know how much hold over for 25, 35, 45, 55, and possibly 70.
