It will be dangling all over the place.


Go with a 2-point or 3-point system. Good news is that magpul slings are both one point and two point slings.

When you have a chance, give the other two options a try.

I use to carry long guns for work, like the Mossberg 590A1, M16A3 and shorter guns like Mk18.

3 point sling on those long guns is a god send. The gun just hang nicely in front of your chest.

1 point sling was ok for the Mk18, which had a 10" barrel, won't get in the way when we climb ladders or run.

Then later on our Mk18 got switched out to M4A1 and the 1 point sling doesn't work anymore because of the extra 5 inches in the front, we would be knocking shit over in tight quarters or the muzzle would bang on door frames and stuff. Went back to 3 point sling and problem solved.

Anyway, give them all a try.
